Overview
Manifested from the thoughts of intellectual think tanks to serve the society, National Service Scheme , under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Government of India, was launched in the Honourable Mahatma Gandhi’s birth centenary year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with focus on students personality development through community service. Today, NSS has more than 3.8 million students volunteers in various Universities, Colleges and higher education departments across the country, while nearly 4 crores students/volunteers are benefitted from NSS activities right from its inception.
ANURAG Engineering College NSS Unit
NSS, Anurag Engineering College officially recognized by JNTUH in 2015, inculcates spirit of service amid college students indeed propagating message of peace, education and development to make the world a better place socially and environmentally. It also fosters a culture of service before self, for the welfare of society in general and rural in specific, as well the nation.
Anurag NSS Unit Program Officer
Anurag Engineering College, NSS Unit is under the able guidance of Program Officer Mr. H. Venkateswara Rao (Assistant Professor in Environmental Science) who tries his level best and excels too to get a niche in social service domain with really service minded bucolic students. The management too remains encouraging in all sorts of activities, kept open to serve wholeheartedly engaging volunteers and students invariably to witness rural reconstruction along bagging time-to-time awards.

- Received silver medal at district level for Blood Donation Camp organized in association with Indian Red Cross Society for the year 2014-2015.
- Conferred with merit certificate by District Collector at district collector for Blood Donation Camp organized in association with Indian Red Cross Society for the year 2015-2016.
- Bagged medal along with felicitation from district collector for mega Blood Donation Camp organized in association with Indian Red Cross Society for the year 2016-2017.
