The details of various grants and schemes approved are

TEQIP-II

TEQIP Phase-II is to be implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) with the assistance of the World Bank at a total cost of Rs. 2430 crore. The Central contribution will be Rs. 1895.50 crore, out of which Rs. 1395.50 will be reimbursed by the World Bank. The State share will be Rs. 518.50 crore and the Share of Private unaided institutions will be Rs. 16 crore. The funding pattern will be 75:25 between the Centre and the participating States and for North Eastern States it will be 90:10. The TEQIP-II project is for the duration of 4 years covering about 200 institutions based on competitive funding.

AICTE- Prerana Scheme for SC/ST Students

A Grant of Rs.7.83 Lakhs is received from AICTE for implementation of the Prerana scheme for the year 2019-20 & 2020-21 at the institute. The objective of this scheme is to help aspiring SC/ST students seeking higher education (GATE/GPAT/CAT/CMAT/TOFEL/IELTS and GRE) through the admission test.

Post-Graduation from IITs/NITs/PSUs/ DRDO/ISRO /Govt Sectors or Higher studies in foreign universities and reputed Indian institutes.

AICTE PRERANA PROGRAM EVALUATION COMMITTEE

Short Term Training Program

ShortTermTrainingProgram(STTP)intends to conduct faculty training through financial assistance from AICTE to enable faculty members in the field of technical education to introspect and learn techniques that can help prepare students for active and successful participants in a knowledge society.

MODROBS

(a) The scheme aims to modernize and remove obsolescence in the Laboratories / Workshops / Computing facilities (Libraries are excluded),
so as to enhance the functional efficiency of Technical Institutions for Teaching, Training, and Research purposes.

(b) It also supports the development of Lab Instructional Material and appropriate Technology to ensure that the practical work and project work to be
carried out by students is contemporary and suited to the needs of the Industry.

(c) The equipment financed under the scheme could be ideally used for upgradation of equipment in existing laboratories, enhancement of
performance parameter specification of existing equipment, incorporation of latest development in the field and replacement of old depreciated
equipment by modern equipment. In addition to above major objectives, the equipment installed through MODROB can be used for the indirect benefit to Faculty / Students through Continuing Education programmes, Training programmes for local industry and consultancy work.
