Workshop Overview:
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) successfully conducted a two-day educational workshop titled “Empowering Youth with Data Security Skills for a Safer Digital Future” on 15th and 16th April 2025. This workshop was organized in collaboration with Supraja Technologies, focusing on raising awareness and building practical competencies in data security among third-year students.
Objectives:
- To introduce students to the core principles of data security and privacy.
- To equip them with practical skills using modern encryption tools and protocols.
- To enhance awareness of cybersecurity threats and solutions through real-world applications.

- Inaugural Session and Welcome Address.
- Expert Talk on the Fundamentals of Data Security.
- Workshop on Encryption Techniques and Cybersecurity Tools.
- Hands-on Session on Implementing Basic Security Protocols.
- Group Discussion on Real-time Cybersecurity Threats and Possible Solutions.
- Quiz Competition on Data Privacy and Protection Concepts.
- Real-time Case Study Analysis to explore industry-based security incidents.
- Interactive Q&A session with industry experts from Supraja Technologies.
- Internship Orientation and Selection Process by Supraja Technologies.
- Valedictory Session with Certificate Distribution.
Outcomes:
- The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from 120 internal students.
- Students gained foundational and practical knowledge in cybersecurity domains such as encryption, ethical hacking, secure coding, and data privacy.
- 44 students were shortlisted for a free internship opportunity at Supraja Technologies based on their performance, engagement, and interest demonstrated during the sessions.
