To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the Department of CSE (AI&ML) at Anurag Engineering College, Kodad, Telangana, organized an interactive workshop titled “Unlocking Career Opportunities: Leveraging LinkedIn for Job Applications, Internships, and Skill Development” on March 21, 2025. The session, conducted in collaboration with FACE PREP, was designed to equip students with essential skills to navigate their career paths effectively using LinkedIn.

Workshop Highlights

The workshop covered a wide range of topics, helping students maximize LinkedIn’s potential for professional growth:

• Introduction to LinkedIn: Understanding its role in career development and job searching.
• Profile Optimization: Best practices to create and enhance LinkedIn profiles to attract recruiters.
• Job & Internship Applications: A hands-on guide to using LinkedIn’s “Easy Apply” feature.
• LinkedIn Premium Benefits: An overview of features such as InMail, profile insights, and LinkedIn Learning, with an emphasis on the three-month free premium trial.
• Networking & Personal Branding: Effective strategies for building professional connections and showcasing expertise.
• Q&A Session: Students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and seek additional guidance.

Key Takeaways

The workshop emphasized the significance of professional networking, personal branding, and continuous learning in career advancement. Participants gained practical insights into optimizing their LinkedIn profiles, applying for jobs and internships efficiently, and leveraging LinkedIn Learning for skill enhancement.
