The Department of Humanities and Sciences at Anurag Engineering College conducted a workshop on “Personality Development” on October 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The purpose of the workshop was to equip first-year engineering students with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental principles, including self-development, time management, and academic focus-skills that are essential for achieving success in the demanding field of engineering education.
The workshop, coordinated by Dr. SK. Ummar Pasha (HoD, H&S) and Dr. K. Ramesh, offered engaging and enlightening sessions led by esteemed speaker Mrs. Bijaya Laxmi Parimi, a renowned Motivation and Personality Development trainer. The program was formally inaugurated by Principal Dr. T. Suresh Kumar.

- Forenoon Session (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM): 235 Students
- Afternoon Session (1:45 PM to 3:45 PM): 229 Students
Mrs. Parimi stressed the role of hard work, reminding students that success comes through sustained effort and perseverance. She also addressed the importance of stress management, introducing mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help students cope with the pressures of engineering studies. Effective communication skills were highlighted as vital for both personal growth and professional success, with Mrs. Parimi urging students to express themselves clearly and confidently. The habit of daily reading was also highlighted as a crucial tool for self-improvement, broadening perspectives, and deepening understanding of both academic subjects and life skills.
The one-day workshop on Personality Development, led by Mrs. Bijaya Laxmi Parimi, was an inspiring and transformative experience for the first-year B.Tech students. Through her interactive and insightful sessions, Mrs. Parimi emphasized the importance of discipline, effective time management, stress handling, and communication skills. Her message of balancing modern adaptability with traditional values resonated deeply with the students, leaving them with practical tools for personal and academic growth as they embark on their engineering journey.
